AfDB Approves $40 million Corporate Loan for Afe Babalola University (ABUAD)

The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group has approved an eight-year US $40-million corporate loan to the Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) in Ado Ekiti (Nigeria), to finance part of the university’s expansion plan.

USAID Relaunches “Make a Difference’’ Malaria Hotline

“Make a Difference” Malaria hotline makes it easier for Nigerians to report stolen and falsified antimalarial drugs. The hotline has a new local telephone number, operates 24 hours and day and uses English-speaking operators. The hotline continues to offer rewards between $100 and $10,000 for previously unknown, usable information about theft, counterfeiting, resale or other abuses of U.S. Government-funded antimalarial commodities.
