Nasarawa State University & University of Agriculture Faisalabad Partner on Academic Collaboration

Nasarawa State University, Nigeria and the University of Agriculture Faisalabad have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for collaboration in academia staff exchange, student internship and research activities.

UAF Vice Chancellor Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan and Nasarawa State University, Nigeria Vice Chancellor Prof. Muhammad Akano Mainoma signed the MoU.

According to MoU, both the universities will collaborate in academic cooperation including academic staff exchanges, exchange of research material, research collaboration and post doctorial fellowship opportunities at UAF.

Nigeria Signs International Energy Charter

The Federal Government of Nigeria has signed the International Energy Charter to enhance energy security, provide employment and reduce poverty in Nigeria.

The government consequently launched a National Energy Summit, a framework to monitor collaboration with the Charter which is not a legally-binding obligation to strengthen international energy co-operation between countries.

With this, Nigeria has joined 10 other African countries and 80 signatories globally to underpin a sustainable path towards energy efficiency, technology transfer, as well as sustainable and clean energy.

Japan Partners Nigeria on Nigeria’s Border Monitoring & Security

The Japanese government has reaffirmed its commitment to assisting the Nigerian government in strengthening its border security and also enhancing constant border patrol.

To this end, the Japanese government is committing 500 thousand dollars towards Nigeria’s border monitoring.

Nigerian and Japanese government officials met at Nfum border at Etung Local Government Area of Cross River state.
