AU Adopts Charter on Maritime Safety, Security & Development

The African Union (AU) has adopted and signed a Charter on maritime safety, security and development – an agreement aimed at establishing a roadmap on maritime security in Africa; committing all Member countries to protect their environment, prevent and suppress crimes on sea, as well as the traffic of human beings , weapons or drugs
